Rental / Alternate Transportation Allowance

With Total Plus, you’ll receive a $50-per-day allowance to help cover the cost of a rental vehicle or alternate transportation while your vehicle is undergoing covered repairs. This benefit applies to repairs that require a minimum of two hours of shop labor time or render your vehicle inoperable and held overnight. The maximum benefit is $250 per occurrence, helping you stay mobile while your vehicle is being serviced.

The following is a partial list of vehicle components that are protected under the Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac Protection Plan Total Plus coverage. A complete list would be so large it would fill several pages! This plan covers practically every moving and electrical part on your vehicle, except for specific cosmetic or maintenance items.

While it provides extensive coverage, it's important to note that this plan is not a warranty, and certain types of repairs and routine services fall outside its scope.

Whats not covered by Protection Plan Total Plus?

Items such as body or sheet metal work, glass and upholstery repairs, tune-ups, oil and filter changes, and the replacement of maintenance parts like shock absorbers, brake pads, exhaust pipes, and wheel alignments are not included. However, some of these parts and services may still be covered under other warranties provided by General Motors. Engine oil & filter change and chassis lubrication maintenance services and inspections are based on the oil life monitor and are subject to a maximum number of services depending on the term and kilometers selected.
